DEMOCRACY DAY: ADAC Drum Support for Abia State Disability Commission

The Advocacy for Disability Cluster (ADAC), a coalition of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) comprising of El-New Hope Foundation, Global Youth Empowerment and Vulnerable Initiative Lawanti Community Development Foundation and Center for Peace Education and Community Development and anchored by the inclusive Friends Association (IFA), in commemoration of Nigeria’s Democracy Day extends heartwarming congratulations to the new Administration in Abia state led by Dr. Alex Otti of Abia, noting the governor’s emergence as one that received a resounding welcome by Abians.

ADAC also congratulates the Chairman of the Abia State Disability Commission, El’Dad Monu and Members of the Board.

Advocacy For Disability Act Cluster (ADAC) is implementing the Strengthening Civic Advocacy and Local Engagement SCALE through Palladium with support from USAID.

ADAC in collaboration with the disability community and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) use this occasion to call on the Governor of Abia State to factor in considerable support for Persons With Disability (PWDs) in the state through the Disability Commission for sustainable programmes and project that will ensure delivery of dividends of democracy to the PWD community.

ADAC believes that the newly inaugurated Commission needs huge support to kick-start and meet up with its mandates under the law and in line with Dr. Alex Otti’s administration agenda for a new Abia state.
