IFA Impetrate PWDs to Register as INEC Extend Voters’ Registration by 60 Days 

Following the surge of registrants in various registration centers across the country, the Chairman House Committee on Electoral Matters, Honourable Aishatu Jibril Dukku at the House of Representatives, told her colleagues that the Commission had agreed to extend the Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) to 60 days during a lawmakers briefing today Wednesday 22, 2022. 
The committee held a meeting with INEC yesterday (Tuesday) and they agreed to extend the CVR, all our resolutions were approved”, she said.
Initially, the CVR exercise was to end on June 30th, 2022, before the outcry for date extension by citizens and intended registrants. 
The House of Representatives had last week Wednesday, urged INEC to extend the deadline for the continuous voter registration by an extra 60 days from June 30, 2022, to enable more Nigerians to register.
The House also called on the Commission to deploy additional staff and voter registration machines across the country to meet the objective.
The Inclusive Friends Association implores all eligible citizens with disabilities who are yet to register to enjoy the opportunity and register to enable them to exercise their franchise in the coming general elections.
