Inclusive Friends Association (IFA) invites interested individuals in the following states Abia, Anambra, Bauchi, Benue, Cross River, Ekiti, Gombe, Katsina, Lagos, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to participate in a Fellowship for Gender-Based Violence Program.
The Fellowship will provide a platform for a young person with a disability in these target states to gain skills, develop capacity, and to be able to advocate for Gender-Based Violence in their communities. In her one-week Fellowship called Building a “Coalition of Gender-Based Violence Advocates for women and girls with a disability”.
The Fellowship will provide an avenue for young persons with disabilities to learn more about Gender-Based Violence.
Aims and Objective
This project aims at addressing gender-based violence in Abia, Anambra, Bauchi, Benue, Cross River, Ekiti, Gombe, Kastina, Lagos, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto, and the FCT by building a youth Coalition on Gender-Based Violence, it will provide the young people with disability who have been working to address gender-based violence in the states, the platform, skills and information to advocate for equity, and justice.
Worth
Successful advocates for Gender-Based Violence will be part of a one-week Fellowship coming up in March 2021.
As being part of the coalition of Gender-Based Violence Advocates for women and girls with disabilities, you will be supported with stipends to carry out advocacy-related activities in your communities.
Eligibility
Participants must be Person with Disability and be between the ages of 18-45.
Have been committed to being an activist with demonstrable work as an advocate for gender-based violence.
Have a good command of the English language as the training will be delivered in English.
Be a resident of these states; Abia, Anambra, Bauchi, Benue, Cross River, Ekiti, Gombe, Kastina, Lagos, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto, and Abuja.
