Enhancing Workforce Development for PWDs in Nasarawa

To ensure skills development leads to tangible employment outcomes, IFA engaged the Nasarawa State Human Capital Development Agency in discussions on fostering digital inclusion and employability for PWDs.

During the meeting, Acting Director-General Hassan Mohad assured IFA of the agency’s commitment to mainstreaming disability-inclusive strategies into training and skills development programs. Other commitments include collaboration with the Nasarawa State Disability Commission to enforce the 5% employment quota for PWDs in government institutions and support for PWD entrepreneurs through business development initiatives.

This advocacy effort sets the foundation for a long-term disability inclusion partnership that will transform workforce development in Nasarawa State.
